Racing Experience

Cost: $2,599-$2,699    

Get ready for some serious track time during this 50-lap, 5-segment experience. Before you get in the driver’s seat learn the drive-line and get a feel for the track with a Ride-Along where you ride shotgun for a 3-lap qualifying run. Next get in the driver seat and receive instruction from your crew chief over the radio while driving in lead/follow, side-by-side tandem and passing driving sessions. Two Driver’s Meetings are conducted throughout the program to give you feedback and guidance from your pit road instructor.

Also included to commemorate your day: in-car DrDVD video of the driving experience, photo plaque and souvenir Richard Petty Driving Experience hat and t-shirt. The program lasts approximately 4 hours.

30 minutes before scheduled experience  - Check in - Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled driving time for check-in and complete their Liability Waiver and Participant Information (Medical) Form.


15 minutes - Opening


15 minutes - Van Ride


15 minutes - Pictures 


20 minutes - Ride-Along Experience


40 minutes - Round 1 - 10 laps for all students. Lead Follow learning the line and building speed   


5-10 minutes - Drivers Meeting after 1st Round


40 minutes - Round 2 -10 laps for all students. Lead follow


15 minutes - Van Ride #2 (with instruction regarding the passing round) 


40 minutes - Round 3 -10 laps for all students. Passing round with instructor


40 minutes - Round 4 - 10 laps for all students . Side by Side with instructor 


5-10 minutes - Drivers Meeting after 4th Round


40 minutes - Round 5 - 10 lap final round. Lead Follow


30 minutes - Closing Ceremony - Participants will receive a Graduation Pack, including a detailed lap-time sheet showing each lap driven and an Graduation Certificate with name, date and estimated top goal speed reached.
