MODULE DESCRIPTIONS 

Short Track Driving

Taking place on the ½ mile track at Martinsville Speedway, this module will give participants the opportunity to learn the art of short track racing at one of the fastest and most challenging short tracks in the Southeast. Instructors will focus on short track techniques including: braking, driving line, car placement and throttle control. Lead instructors as well as a driving instructor on radio will be on-hand to assist the drivers and provide feedback between driving sessions. In car system will be used to record video and lap time data. 

 • Type of Cars: Short Track Stock Cars
  Module Length: approximately 4 hours
 • Driving Sessions: 4 sessions, 10 laps each

 

Intermediate Track Driving

This module will take place at the famous Darlington Raceway, known as the track “Too Tough to Tame”. Participants will get the chance to drive 40 laps over the course of 4 sessions. Each participant will start the day learning the racetrack by riding shotgun with a RPDE professional driver, then get behind the wheel for the first two 8-lap sessions. Lunch will be followed by a tour of the Darlington Museum. The afternoon will conclude with two 12-lap driving sessions. In car system will record video and lap time data.

 • Type of Cars: Intermediate Track Stock Cars
 • Module Length: Full Day
 • Driving Sessions: 4 sessions, with a total of 40 laps

 

Speedway Challenge

This module will take place on the 1-1/2 mile Charlotte Motor Speedway. Participants will each drive for 40 laps, broken into four (4) 10-lap sessions. Drivers will receive coaching during and between each session. In car system will record video and lap time data. 

 • Type of Cars: Stock Cars
 • Module Length: approximately 4 hours
 • Driving Sessions: 4 sessions, 10 laps each

 

Exotic Driving Experience Supercar

Also, for the first time… participants will get the opportunity to experience a “super car”, courtesy of Exotic Driving Experience on the interior road course of Charlotte Motor Speedway.
