Fantasy Camp, the Ultimate Three-Day Stock Car Experience Returns to Charlotte
CONCORD, N.C. (August 15, 2013) – Richard Petty Driving Experience (RPDE), the world-wide leader in stock car drive and ride entertainment, will give 12 lucky participants the opportunity to participate in the sixth bi-annual Richard Petty Fantasy Racing Camp in Charlotte, N.C., October 12-15. More than one million people have enjoyed getting inside RPDE’s race cars at tracks nationwide, but this three-day event is designed for the ultimate NASCAR fan. Named by CNN as one of the top 10 classes taught by elite professionals, Fantasy Camp is stepping it up even further this year by giving participants the chance to drive hundreds of laps on three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tracks.
Fantasy Camp participants will spend three full days exploring all that the heart of NASCAR country has to offer for race enthusiasts. Drivers start off day one by meeting NASCAR legends Richard Petty and Dale Inman, then get the VIP treatment at the Bank of America 500 Sprint Cup Series race in a luxury trackside suite at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The following days are a racing dream come true, with drivers climbing behind the wheel of a 600 HP NASCAR race car for hundreds of laps while learning short track driving at Martinsville Speedway, intermediate track driving at Darlington Raceway and road course driving skills behind the wheel of an exotic supercar at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Participants then get to put their new stock car driving skills to the test in a thrilling 40 lap speedway challenge on the 24 degree banked 1.5-mile oval at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Other camp highlights include luxury accommodations and dinner events, one-on-one instruction from some of the best in the business, including David Green*, Randy LaJoie*, as well as the accomplished team of Petty instructors, with words of wisdom from Inman* and Petty*; the opportunity to drive an ‘exotic super car’; and a VIP tour of original Petty Enterprises race shop in Level Cross, N.C. including “The King’s” personal car collection.
The cost to participate in the Richard Petty Fantasy Racing Camp is $9,500 and includes all activities, accommodations, meals, custom apparel, in-car video, commemorative event photos and a lifetime of priceless memories. Past Fantasy Camp participants receive a $1,000 discount and Experience Rewards members receive a $500 discount.

Participants must be at least 16 years old, be able to drive a standard transmission and have a valid driver's license. Drivers will also be required to sign a liability waiver and crash clause agreement before participation.
