General Terms and Conditions for Richard Petty Driving Experience

Richard Petty Driving Experience NASCAR race cars have 4 speed manual transmissions and it is beneficial to know how to drive a standard/manual transmission but no longer a require to participate in Driving Experiences. A push-off start is available for participants who do not have knowledge of how to operate a manual transmission If you do not know how to operate a manual transmission you are given one opportunity to shift properly. If the Coordinator determines that you are unable to shift you will forfeit your right to complete the driving experience, you will then be driven, by an instructor for your number of laps purchased and no refunds will be issued.

  • Our cars do not have doors. To participate in our Driving and Ride-Along Experiences you must have the ability:
    1. to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground
    2. wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X.
  • Driving Programs Age Requirements = At Walt Disney World® Speedway and Daytona International Speedway you must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and at all other tracks be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license to participate in our driving experiences.
  • Ride-Along Programs Age Requirements = At all tracks you must be at least 14 years old to participate in our Riding Experiences.

 

General Terms and Conditions for American Muscle Car Challenge by Richard Petty Driving Experience

American Muscle Car Challenge (AMCC) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway lets participants experience three American muscle icons through four thrilling driving modules designed to test and measure the performance of each vehicle.  Driving modules include: acceleration, braking efficiency, cornering capability, and top speed. Each participant will drive a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 through each of the driving modules during a timed test track run. Prior to completing the timed test track run in each car, participants will complete an instruction class and drive a non-timed test track run in one car, familiarizing them with the course layout and driving modules. Operation of a manual transmission is required to drive the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Starting August 23, 2013 those unable to operate a manual will drive an automatic Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Both the Chevrolet and Dodge have a manual and automatic version. Participants will be provided with a regulation helmet and should wear close toed shoes for the challenge. For all other AMCC policies, please refer to the Richard Petty Driving Experience policies below.

 

Rainout Policy Terms and Conditions

If you are a retail client and you do not complete any laps due to inclement weather, you have a full balance owed to you which is valid for one year from that date and can be used towards the booking of a new program of equal value. Or you can apply your balance towards booking a program of greater value and pay the difference. The balance owed is non-refundable.

  • If you are a retail client and you complete some laps but did not complete all laps due to inclement weather (partial rain out) you have a partial balance owed for the uncompleted portion of your experience. The balance owed is non-refundable, but it can either be applied towards the purchase of a new program or used to complete the remaining balance of your original session at a future date and time.
  • Dates are subject to change without notice. Richard Petty Driving Experience is not responsible for any travel expenses incurred by changes beyond our control.

 

 

Driving Experience Terms and Conditions

Reservations are required for all driving experiences; space is limited and is filled on a first come first serve basis. Please call 1-800-237-3889 or visit www.DrivePetty.com to book your reservation for a specific date and time.

  • If you cancel or make any changes to this reservation above more than 30 days prior to your class date you will be charged a $75 administration fee. You also understand that if you cancel/change your selected program less than 30 days prior to your class date or if you fail to attend your selected program, you will forfeit your entire enrollment fee.
  • This reservation is transferable with express written consent from the original recipient. Call 1-800-237-3889 for details.
  • In the event of inclement weather, Richard Petty Driving Experience reserves the right to wait until the day of the Experience to cancel the class. Please show up at the track unless Richard Petty Driving Experience contacts you in advance. In the event of inclement weather, a Rain out Letter will be issued and is valid for one year from the date of issue. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations due to inclement weather.
  • Operation of a manual transmission is no longer a requirementfor driving programs. A push-off start is available for particpants who do not have knowledge of how to operate a manual transmission.
  • For tracks 1.5 miles or longer the driving experience lap count includes a warm up and cool down lap. 
  • Our cars do not have doors. To participate in our Driving and Ride-Along Experiences you must have the ability
    1. to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground
    2. wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X.
  • Driving Programs Age Requirements = At Walt Disney World® Speedway and Daytona International Speedway you must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and at all other tracks be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license to participate in our driving experiences.
  • Driver Release Fee - For each driving experience participant, a $39 fee will be applied to the experience charges at checkout. This fee is in lieu of a "crash clause" requiring each participant to commit a certain amount that will be forfeited in the event of an incident/crash. RPDE provides that each driver who pays the $39 Driver Release Fee will not be responsible for most damage to the car resulting from an incident/crash at the track. Only in the event that a driver intentionally or negligently fails to follow instructions which leads to an incident/crash will RPDE seek financial recompense for resulting damage to the vehicle.
  • By participating in the Experience you give and grant unto Richard Petty Driving Experience, its duly authorized agents and assigns, the rights to the use of your name, likeness, voice or photographs taken at Richard Petty Driving Experience, including, but not limited to television and radio broadcasts, film productions, videotape reproductions and the like, and you hereby relinquish all rights therefore for these purposes.
  • Dates are subject to change without notice. Richard Petty Driving Experience is not responsible for any travel expenses incurred by changes beyond our control.

 

Ride-Along Terms and Conditions

Ride-Alongs do not require reservations at most tracks (except Race Ride Events). The Ride-Along program is operated at locations nationwide and generally is offered between 9am to 4pm on days we are on track at most locations on a first come, first serve basis. For all locations, before heading to the track call 1.800.237.3889 to confirm dates/times.

  • Our cars do not have doors. To participate in our Driving and Ride-Along Experiences you must have the ability
    1. to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground
    2. wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X. - Ride-Along Programs Age Requirements = At all tracks you must be at least 14 years old to participate in our riding experiences.
  • Richard Petty Driving Experience will assume responsibility for any damages that might occur to the racecar except in cases of willful or reckless conduct or gross negligence. All other damages and expenses are the responsibility of the participant per the Exculpatory and Assumption of Risk Agreement, Release of Liability, and Covenant Not to Sue form that all participants are required to complete prior to program participation.
  • By participating in the Ride-Along program you give and grant unto Richard Petty Driving Experience, its duly authorized agents and assigns, the rights to the use of your name, likeness, voice or photographs taken at Richard Petty Driving Experience, including, but not limited to television and radio broadcasts, film productions, videotape reproductions and the like, and you hereby relinquish all rights therefore for these purposes.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions

  • Gift cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash. No cash will be given as change from gift card purchases. Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Gift cards do not expire. There are no service fees for unused gift card balances.
  • Gift cards can be used to purchase any Richard Petty Driving Experience merchandise or ride/drive experience.
  • Purchases of photos and DVD's are only available trackside.
  • Purchasing a gift card does not reserve a spot of any kind. To reserve your spot please call the Customer Service and Sales Center at 1-800-237-3889 or book on-line. Please have your gift card with you at the time of booking as the card number and PIN/security code will be needed.
  • Gift cards are valid for the monetary amount purchased. As such, any expense (sales tax, etc.), that may exceed the monetary value of the card will be due at the time of purchase. Experience prices vary depending on track location, peak and off-peak seasons, dates and times. All prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Paper Gift Certificates: Richard Petty Driving Experience (paper) Gift Certificates are no longer valid due to the expiration date (one year after issuance). Please call 1-800-237-3889 with any additional question.
